Justin Timberlake, John Goodman Joining Coens' '60s Folk Scene Showing that Joel and Ethan Coen can both respect their stalwart, familiar casting choices and recognize that J.T. has the voice of an angel, the Coens are working on adding John Goodman and Justin Timberlake to the cast of their next, Inside Llewyn Davis. Loosely based on the career of Dave Van Ronk, the film focuses on the the Greenwich Village folk scene of the ''60s, and Drive''s troubled married couple--Oscar Isaac and Carey Mulligan--are already committed the respective roles of Llewyn and Jean. Timberlake''s offer is for Jim, folk singer and husband of Jean. Goodman''s role hasn''t been specified, but since Goodman is always a pretty good character in whatever Coen film he''s in, let''s just say it will be a good one. Goodman will next be seen in theaters in awards contenders The Artist and the heart-squeezing Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close, while Justin Timberlake currently has a clock arm in award non-contender In Time. Expect this first joint effort between the two actors to lead to a collaborative SNL appearance, because if it doesn''t, come on, Lorne Michaels. It''s right there. Do I have to do your job for you?
