Amy Poehler hits the red carpet while attending the 2013 AFI Life Achievement Award Ceremony held at the Dolby Theatre on Thursday (June 6) in Hollywood.

The 41-year-old actress was joined at the event by Isla Fisher and her hubby Sacha Baron Cohen, Sarah Silverman, Zach Galifianakis, and director Martin Scorsese.

The event, which honored legendary filmmaker Mel Brooks, will be broadcast on TNT on June 15 and on TCM on July 24 as part of an all-night tribute to Brooks.

FYI: Amy is wearing a Project D dress and Stuart Weitzman heels.

Honoring an industry legend, Hollywood’s hottest comedians arrived at the 41st AFI Life Achievement Award Honoring Mel Brooks last evening (June 6).

“Parks and Recreation” star Amy Poehler showed off her adorable smile and spent the evening getting close with rumored beau Nick Kroll.

“Now You See Me” beauty Isla Fisher enjoyed the night hanging out with her hubby Sacha Baron Cohen, while Zach Galifianakis hobnobbed with his fellow comedic pals.

During the ceremony, Jimmy Kimmel roasted the honoree and joked, "We are going to miss you so much, Mel. You were one of the greats. Rest in peace, my friend."

Meanwhile, Larry David jabbed, "Mel Brooks didn''t get me into comedy, he kept me away from it. I spent years doing nothing because of him."

On getting rejected by Sacha Baron Cohen‘s agent: “I really have had no help. In fact, the one time I did ask for help was after my agent in L.A. fired me. I was auditioning for all sorts of things but kept getting told ‘no,’ so she just fired me! So anyway, I said to Sacha, who was my boyfriend at the time, ‘Can you ask your agent if they’ll represent me?’ And his agent said, ‘No way.’ It was the only favor I’d ever asked, and I was like, ‘OK… great.’ But it spurred me on.”

On women helping women in Hollywood: “Women one hundred percent support each other in the movie industry. I auditioned for a movie recently and when I went in, the producer said he’d told one of its stars, Naomi Watts, that he was auditioning me and she’d said, ‘She’s so funny, she’s a great actress — you should hire her.’ What a lovely, kind and supportive thing to do for another woman,”

On being a working mom: “It’s a myth that you can have it all. You can’t. But, more importantly, I don’t think you should want to. It sounds exhausting! I’m just dipping my toe back into work now. It’s a juggling act and I’m not particularly good at it; the balls are in the air. But my priority is always my family. Motherhood boils everything down to the essentials.”

She’s no stranger to a crazy travel itinerary, and yesterday (May 13) Kirsten Dunst caught a flight at London’s Heathrow International Airport.

The “Crazy/Beautiful” babe looked to be in good spirits as she headed to her gate, on her way to the Cannes International Film Festival in Cannes, France.

Last week, Kirsten was back in the States as she filmed her cameo for the forthcoming “Anchorman 2” in Atlanta, Georgia.

Dunst will be joined by fellow celebrities like Tina Fey, Amy Poehler, and Sacha Baron Cohen who also have bit parts in the much-anticipated comedy.

He’s a man who usually gets what he’s after, and Kanye West just got done filming a cameo appearance in the forthcoming “Anchorman 2” flick.

According to an insider, the “Love Lockdown” rapper showed up on an Atlanta rooftop with Christina Applegate and Paul Rudd to shoot his scenes earlier this week.

The eyewitness also noted, “Kanye was quite afraid of heights and required an umbrella for shade most of the time he was on the roof."

In addition to West, stars like Tina Fey, Amy Poehler, Liam Neeson, Nicole Kidman, Harrison Ford, and Sacha Baron Cohen will all have bit parts as well.

Isla Fisher says breastfeeding is the best thing to do to lose your baby weight. The ‘Great Gatsby‘ star has two daughters, Olive, five, and Elula, two, with her husband Sacha Baron Cohen, and she insists she didn’t need to worry about how she was going to shift her extra pounds because nursing uses up so many calories.

In an interview with the new UK issue of HELLO! magazine, she said: “I believe in the power of breastfeeding. I know some women say it doesn’t help them lose the weight, but I think it burns an extra 250 calories a day. I breastfed for two years with both my children and by the end of that period I was back to normal. I swear by it. I’ve also been lucky in that I’ve been able to afford assistance with childcare, so I can go out for a run or a workout.”

Although Isla has been able to get her figure back she admits she relies on some extra help so she always looks great when she hits the red carpet.

The 37-year-old actress swears by the stomach-minimising power of Spanx to make her figure slender in any outfit. Asked what her best-kept fashion secret is, she enthused: “Spanx! Never leave home without them. You can’t eat very much and they’re restrictive like a girdle, but, hey, you look really slender and slim.”

While rocking a blue sequined dress from designer Monique Lhuillier for the David Cameron-shot front page, the "Wedding Crashers" beauty opened up about everything converting from Methodist to Judaism to her life with "Les Mis" actor Sacha Baron Cohen.

"It''s definitely not a normal relationship," the 37-year-old actress admitted. "You know there have been times in the past with the guerrilla style film making of ''Borat'' and ''Bruno'' where there were surreal conversations."

On if she would work with her hubby, Miss Fisher declared, "I would love to. But I think we are collaborating on enough. We''re doing out most difficult, most wonderful screenplays: a five-year-old and a two-year-old at home. I feel that''s the most important collaboration."

In regards to her religion, Isla revealed, "I love the focus on family, food and laughter. You know, I didn''t get to go to university because I''ve been acting since I was a kid. So for me, studying theology was also fascinating. I love Judaism."
