New Clip of Ryan Gosling in "Only God Forgives" Released: Watch Here!

For mature eyes only, a new clip from "Only God Forgives" hit the web on Wednesday (May 22) ahead of its big summer release.

The dramatic thriller follows Julian, a drug-smuggler thriving in Bangkok''s criminal underworld who sees his life get even more complicated when his mother compels him to find and kill whoever is responsible for his brother''s recent death.

Written and directed by Nicolas Winding Refn, the movie stars Ryan Gosling, Kristin Scott Thomas, Yayaying Rhatha Phongam, and Tom Burke.

Check out the clip below, in which Ryan''s character says nary a word, as he''s overshadowed by his vindictive mother. The video contains language which may be offensive to some audiences.

Cannes in Mourning: Ryan Gosling Can’t Come

Hey girl, I can’t make it to Cannes.

That’s basically the gist of the letter Ryan Gosling had director Nicolas Refn read at the premiere of their Thai boxing drama, Only God Forgives. When the film — Gosling and Refn’s second collaboration, following 2011′s rave-reviewed Drive — hit the silver screen at the Cannes Film Festival on Wednesday, Gosling’s baby blues were sadly no where in sight.

“I can’t believe that I’m not in Cannes with you,” Gosling wrote, apologizing for his agonizing absence from the famed fest. “I was hoping to be coming but I am in the third week of shooting my movie. I miss you all.”

“Nicolas, my friend, we really are the same, simply in different worlds and I am sending you good vibrations. I’m with you all,” continued the note, leaving Gos lovers everywhere wishing they were on the receiving end of those “good vibrations.”

After announcing he’s taking a break from acting (tear), Gosling, 32, has taken this talents behind the camera. Earlier this month, he began production on his directorial debut, How To Catch A Monster, a fantasy-thriller — which he penned himself — starring The Host’s Saoirse Ronan, Mad Men‘s Christina Hendricks and Gos’ real-life leading lady, Eva Mendes.

His helm kept him from soaking up the Cannes spotlight for the second time in three years — he last popped by the French fest for Drive. Gosling’s absence leaves a hole — about the size of his bulging bicesp, we’d imagine — in Only God Forgive‘s publicity push ahead of its nationwide release on July 19.

But more importantly, there’s a hole in our hearts: This means there will be no snaps of a suited-up Gos on the Croisette for us fans to drool over. How will we make it through? We’ll have to wait for some more of this.

Ryan Gosling: Work Day in the Motor City

Ready for another busy week of work, Ryan Gosling showed up on the set of “How to Catch a Monster” on Monday (May 13) in Detroit, MI.

Bundled up against the unseasonably chilly air in a dark cords and a Carhartt coat, the Canadian-born hunk directed his actors through their scenes in an abandoned warehouse district.

Though he is used to being in front of the camera, the 32-year-old wrote and is directing the fantasy thriller, which stars Eva Mendes and Christina Hendricks.

“How to Catch a Monster” follows a single mother who is swept into a dark underworld, while her teenage son discovers a road that leads him to a secret underwater town. It is slated for release next year.

Move over, cats! Get over yourselves, Celebrities Without Teeth! Take a hike, “Hey, Girl…“! There’s a new boss meme in town, and it’s… Vine clips? OK… Of — wait for it — RYAN GOSLING! (That’s what we call “burying the lede.” But it makes for great suspense, so I get to keep my job. For now.)

Internet Genius Ryan McHenry filmed a series of Vines (six-second videos, and basically just GIFs with sound, for those not in “the know”) in which he holds up a spoonful of cereal to Ryan Gosling onscreen, only Ryan refuses to eat! Every. Single. Time.

He won’t eat it in Drive, he won’t eat it in Blue Valentine. He won’t eat it on a train, a plane, or, most disturbingly, with green eggs and ham. Which begs the question: what does he eat for breakfast? It’s the most important meal of the day, Ryan! Get it together!

Dear Canada: why’d you have to go and make things so “Complicated?”

On Thursday, Hello! Canada unveiled its list of the 50 Most Beautiful Stars, and sitting at the very top is Avril Lavigne, aka Mrs. Chad Kroeger to-be, aka. the same musician who says she has a song about Hello Kitty on her next album.

“She’s gorgeous,” the publication’s EIC Alison Eastwood said [via The Star]. “I’m most excited that she’s wearing an outfit that isn’t black on the cover.”

Eastwood also added that in making the list, Hello! searched for not just “celebrities genetically blessed, but ones who are also really hot in 2013. It’s not entirely scientific.”

According to the list, Canada’s equivalent of Gwyneth Paltrow beat out other beautiful products from the North: Ryan Gosling, Ryan Reynolds, Rachel McAdams, Hannah Simone, Emily VanCamp and model Jessica Stam.

Scientific proof aside, Lavigne’s “hot” year — which includes a wedding to Kroeger and the release of her fifth studio album — is, in this Canadian’s opinion, second to say, Gosling’s year.

The actor already has one critically acclaimed film out (The Place Beyond The Pines), is set to knock our teeth out with July’s Only God Forgives and is going behind the camera for the first time. Just look at how hard he works on his own set.

Meanwhile, the other Ryan, is one of the voices behind one of the year’s biggest animated films (The Croods), has a huge action film coming out this June (R.I.P.D.) and is happily enjoying his first year of marriage to fellow beautiful person Blake Lively.

McAdams has three films out this year, including the latest Terrence Malick spectacle To the Wonder, opposite Ben Affleck. The 34-year-old actress’ next project will be alongside beautiful Americans Bradley Cooper and Emma Stone in a film directed by Cameron Crowe.

I mean, here’s the thing: this is a photo of Ryan Gosling.
